Airpark Hours: Tues - Sat 10 am - 4pm and Every day from Dawn until Dusk to DoD ID card holders.

On days where the weather forecast is 100 degrees or higher, the Aviation Museum closes at 2:00 pm. Since the center does not have air conditioning, temperatures inside can get dangerously high on days when the temperature is in the triple digits.

Directions:
From I-80 in Fairfield, exit at Air Base Pkwy / Waterman Blvd and proceed 4.2 miles to Travis Air Force Base. All non-military visitors that do not possess a DoD issued ID card must check in at the Visitor Center. Do not drive to the main gate.

Tours:
Tours are provided for all size groups and is available to the public. Please call ahead and let us know you are coming. Please follow the information below for escort service and large groups.
For Escort Service to the Travis AFB Aviation Museum only:
Please call ahead to the Main Office at (707) 424-8180, to schedule your tour and make sure that the time is available before sending any information. Small groups 9 or smaller, will need to check into the Visitors Center. A tour group of 10+ visitors needing to be escorted onto the base, must send an alphabetical list of names, birthdays, and Social Security Numbers. The list must consist of all adults 18+ that will need to be escorted onto the base. Please also include contact information for the group.
Drivers of large vehicles and buses that will be escorted on base will be required to show all licenses, registration and insurance documents as well as the complete list of visitors during check in at the Visitors Center. Drivers must be included in the Group Access form or complete the security check when arriving the day of the event.
Special Events Held at the Travis AFB Aviation Museum:
Under certain circumstances, special events may be held in the museum. Space is limited to approximately 25’ x 30’. Exhibits and furniture will not be moved or relocated to increase this area. The museum has 20 tables and about 200 chairs as well as a sound system available for use. The organization responsible for the event is responsible for set up, tear down and placement into storage of all tables and chairs used for the event. Clean up consisting of sweeping, mopping and emptying of trash is the responsibility of the organization holding the event.
The Heritage Center does not have the capability for cold storage and has limited capabilities for electrical sources to run equipment. Please consider this when requesting use of the Heritage Center.
In addition, the primary purpose of the Travis AFB Aviation Museum is education. Visitors and tours receive priority over special events. Scheduled tours will not be cancelled or rescheduled to accommodate special events.
