VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are the lifeblood of both the Foundation and the Travis AFB Aviation Museum. Each day, they contribute their time, skills, and dedication—providing essential support across a wide range of museum and foundation activities. Their unwavering commitment makes much of the museum’s mission possible.

Restoring and relocating the C-141 “Golden Bear” was a true team effort.
This complex and costly project perfectly illustrates the mission of the Foundation: uniting resources, expertise, and community support to preserve our nation’s aviation heritage.

VOLUNTEER WITH US - MAKE A DIFFERENCE
At the Travis AFB Aviation Museum, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you are into history, hands-on projects, or simply giving back, we will match your skills and interests with meaningful roles that help bring aviation history to life.
You will find a friendly, flexible environment where your time is truly valued—and even a few hours a month can make a big impact.
From guiding tours and restoring aircraft to helping in the gift shop or supporting events, every volunteer plays a part in preserving the stories that shaped our skies.
OUR CURRENT VOLUNTEER POSITIONS INCLUDE:

-
Gift Shop: Volunteer to work in the gift shop on a part-time or full-time position! The gift shop hours are from 10:00am to 3:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
